Julia Hannafin: I knew that I wanted there to be some sort of parallel between the devolving relationships on the island, and the disintegrating research on the island. Continuing to follow the thematic parallels–having the connection between this confusion around parenting, wanting someone to have parented you in a different way, understanding that you’re reliving something–I think the parallels really helped me.
